About Us
Who We Are
Footprints is a 501(c) 3 youth development organization designed to nurture and
cultivate a positive self image for girls 9 – 17 years old, while building character on
the principles of Self Respect, Life Endeavors, Community and the Arts.

Like the definition of a footprint – a clue the someone was present, Footprints strives
to help participants realize that they can change the world for the better through their
actions and deeds, leaving their "Footprints" on the world.
Core Areas
Self Respect – is the way one carries herself, by exhibiting high regard for one’s own
mind, body, and soul.

Life Endeavors – are the positive things that one partakes in for the betterment of
self, family, and community.

Community – is the place(s) where one can learn and be a positive influence for
future generations.

The Arts – are a variety of ideas and concepts, brought to life through creative
expressions.
Program Highlights
Mentoring Program
The mentoring program is designed to match the girls with an adult role model
within the community to provide: Education Encouragement, Career Advice, General
Support, and Friendship.

Book of the Month
The purpose of the Book of the Month program is to reinforce the importance of
reading. At the beginning of each a month, a book is selected for the group to read,
and at the end of the month the group discusses the content of the book.

Field Trips
Monthly field trips are taken to various cutural and educational destinations, to help
our girls experience new things outside of their everyday lives and realize the world
is their's to explore.
